An escape room is an adventure game in which a group of players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints, logic, and strategy. It’s like an adventure movie, except you are the main character.

You are welcome to try coming in as walk-in, but we highly, highly recommend reservations. We frequently have to turn away walk-in groups because our escape rooms frequently get fully booked.

Our escape rooms vary in size. Our ” British are Coming” escape room can accommodate 2-8 people. Our “Raven” escape room can accommodate 3-7 people. Our “Allied Spy” escape room can accommodate 4-10 people. And our “DaVinci’s Discovery” escape room can accommodate 4-9 people. You can book any of our escape rooms with fewer people, but we still charge the minimum amount and it is less likely that you will be able to complete the escape room with a smaller size.

No. All our rooms private so it will just be your group doing the escape room.

We allow all ages in our escape rooms. Children ages 6 and under are free with a paid General Admission. Our “British Are Coming”, “Allied Spy”, and “DaVinci’s Discover” escape rooms are appropriate for all ages. Our Raven escape room is recommended for ages 13 and up due to it’s slightly spooky theme, but younger children are allowed. An adult is required to be present in each escape room.

No. We do not lock the doors in our escape rooms. And you will have an objective to achieve in your escape room that does not involve escaping the room.

We are open every day of the week except Mondays and Wednesday. If you would like to make a reservation on Mondays or Wednesdays or outside our normal hours, send us an email at UnlockedHistory@gmail.com, call us at 434-664-1059, or reach out to us through our CONTACT US page.

If you inform us at least 6 hours before you your reservation, we will issue you a full store credit for a future admission. If you inform us less than 6 hours before your reservation, there is a $50 rebooking fee if your reservation was on a weekday and a $75 rebooking fee if your reservation was on a weekend or holiday.
We do provide a full cash refund for party members who are unable to attend if the rest of your party if your party decreases in size but you are still able to make the reservation.

Yes. Free parking is available right in front of our building.

The more people in your group, the more you save. For groups of 2, the cost is $43 per person. For groups of 3, the cost is $37 per person. For groups of 4, the cost is $35 per person. For groups of 5+, the cost is $33 per person. Each child ages 6 and under are free with the purchase of a General Admission.

Each of our escape rooms lasts 60 minutes. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your schedule reservation.
